It is advisable to arrive one day in advance, lunch and dinner of that day are included in the course fee. Accommodation and breakfast the day after the end of the training, is also included in the price.

Both cities are easily accessible by plane, through their International airports. You can also reach Goa and Pune by train from all major cities in India.

India is a very safe country. You will meet curious, friendly, welcoming and helpful people. You can, generally, go for a walk, shop or visit places without any problem. With regard to women tourists, it is not necessary to take any special measures beyond common sense and adaptation to the culture of the country being visited.

It is highly recommended to use only bottled water or filtered water at the school. Kavaalya uses filtered water to prepare all meals.

All our centers have free wifi, but please be aware that the internet connection can be a bit slow and sometimes drops.

The climate in Goa and Pune, from October until May is warm and dry. The daytime temperatures range from 28 to 32 degrees. Generally, you will encounter blue skies every day from November to April. If you visit in December and January, the early mornings and late evenings can be cool so bring a sweater and some warm yoga clothes for the morning practice and the night time.

Yes, India has good hospitals and doctors that can be contacted, if necessary. It is advisable to have a Travel Insurance.

We have two options: accommodation in a single room or accommodation in a shared room. Please choose the room of your choic while enrolling for course. Remember that single rooms tend to run out sooner.

It is not possible since there are always courses before and after, but let us know if you need to come a few days before or leave after and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Yes, but you have to communicate to us and pay for them. Your guests are our guests, we only ask you to follow the rules of the school. You are ultimately responsible for the conduct of that person.

Yes, each room has hot water and electricity.

None of the actions mentioned above are allowed in the school and they are not in line with a yogi life, so we recommend that you refrain from them on the school premises.

No, we do not offer non-vegetarian options since we follow the yamas and niyamas reflected in the 8 steps of Asthanga Yoga, “nonviolence” towards any being on earth. Non-vegetarian food is available in coffee shops and restaurants around the school.

At the time of booking it is necessary to pay 300 euros, the remaining amount will be paid before or on the arrival day. For payments by credit card or PayPal an additional 4% is charged in commissions.

The amount of the course includes everything except personal expenses and flights, i.e., training, accommodation for 22 nights, three daily meals (except saturday dinners and meals on Sundays), course material and excursions organized by the school.

Yes, you can do the program at any time available within one year.

The 300 euros paid as reservation amount are not refundable. Any further amount paid will be refunded if informed 10 days before the course starts.

You can find almost everything in India. We only recommend: preferred toiletries, yoga mat (although you can buy at a very good price in stores near the school), comfortable yoga clothes (For the opening and closing fire ceremonies it is recommended to wear white), swimwear, flip flops, mosquito spray, electrical adaptor, and any medication you are taking or that you may need.

The limit is 30 students per class. Typical class is around 22-25 students.

Our programs are designed for beginners and advanced yoga students.

You should be fine as long as you can understand some English and speak a little bit. There are always non-native English students and our teachers take this into consideration as much as possible to ensure that the material being taught is understood by everyone. Yes, if this is the case then you can even benefit from the course more than anyone else. Yoga is about so much more than just physical postures.

You are not supposed to miss any classes. Unless you have a serious illness or medical emergency, you are expected to attend all the classes. If you miss classes you will be given assignments to make up the time, these will be determined by the teacher(s) and will ensure you meet the required hours of study to qualify.

Yes, Kavaalya is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.

Yes, in order to obtain the Yoga Alliance certification that will grant you the necessary skills to instruct in the discipline of yoga anywhere in the world, it will be necessary: to attend classes and take a written test on the subjects seen on the course. We provide full support throughout the process to ensure your success.
